Performance With Purpose: A Conversation with Indra Nooyi
On November 1, 2017 I attended the Network of Executive Women Fall Learning Event with key note speaker, Indra Nooyi.
Indra K. Nooyi is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo. PepsiCo’s global food and beverage portfolio includes 22 brands that generate more than $1 billion each in annual retail sales. PepsiCo’s main businesses include Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade, Frito-Lay and Pepsi-Cola. With more than $63 billion in annual net revenue, PepsiCo makes hundreds of enjoyable foods and beverages that are loved throughout the world.
Mrs. Nooyi is the chief architect of Performance with Purpose, PepsiCo’s commitment to delivering sustained growth with a focus on making healthier products, protecting our planet, and empowering people.
Previously, Mrs. Nooyi served as PepsiCo’s President and Chief Financial Officer. Since joining the company in 1994, she has directed the company’s global strategy and led its restructuring, including the acquisition of Tropicana and the merger with Quaker Oats that brought the vital Quaker and Gatorade businesses to PepsiCo, the merger with PepsiCo’s anchor bottlers, and the acquisition of Wimm-Bill-Dann, the largest international acquisition in PepsiCo’s history.
Mrs. Nooyi serves as a member of the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum. She also Co-Chairs the Network of Executive Women’s Future Fund—an industry-wide campaign aimed at achieving 50/50 gender parity in the workforce.
She holds a B.S. from Madras Christian College, an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta and a Master of Public and Private Management from Yale University. Mrs. Nooyi is married and has two daughters.
